Danger, Danger, Will Robinson

Wouldn't it be nice if each one of us had our own personal Danger Alerter?

We do.

It is called "INSTINCT" and it is very strong in Right Brained Thinkers, or, more simply put, the ARTISTS of the World. But, we also tend to be a trusting lot, too.

I, We, YOU - we ALL need to learn to TRUST THAT INSTINCT. It will alert you to all types of Danger and Unscrupulous people who mean you harm. And, I do not necessarily mean physical harm, either.

The worst part of having such strong instincts is when you *KNOW* something, but ignore it, thinking you are just being really negative and should give it a chance because, God forbid, you do not want to miss any Career Opportunities or Big Breaks!!

WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG

Recently, I had such an Opportunity. After a LOT of TIME AND MONEY invested in creating a Sample Case (really inaccurate term normally, but not so for this story) for a Rep to sell to stores. This is what I sent:

This is what I got back, after it was decided this was not a "Good Match":

Notice anything different? I did, but apparently the person shipping did not.

Now, in all fairness, this is an *On-going* Story, as I was told my charms were all in an envelope that was included in the case (REALLY?!?!), but they will "look around" to see what they can find......but, Please Note, they have "NO RESPONSIBILITY". REALLY?!?!?!?

So, after many emails, I am waiting for my charms to be returned.

The Main Point here is:

IF YOU ARE AN ARTIST (OF ANY MEDIUM) AND ARE SENDING YOUR WORK TO SOMEBODY TO REPRESENT FOR YOU, PLEASE MAKE SURE THEY DO NOT CONSIDER IT A GIFT. EVEN IF IT IS IN WRITING (MINE WAS) THAT SAMPLES ARE RETURNED TO THE DESIGNER......PLEASE MAKE SURE THEY FULLY UNDERSTAND THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE.

And, by all means, TRUST YOUR INSTINCTS!!!

Will keep you posted as this Saga continues.........

  1. I'm so sorry this happened to you. And it looks like the items in the case were worth a lot of money, too. I hope they "find" your items and return them to you promptly.

Have you thought about filing a police report? Or filing a complaint with the Attorney General's office? Something to consider...

  2. Thank you - all of those are being considered. Am waiting a "reasonable amount of time" for the return of the charms. And yes, they were worth a lot of money!!

    Thank you for your comment.
